He Weiming, was born in 1963 in Fujian, is now based in Beijing and graduated from Fujian Normal University where he majored in fine arts. His retreat experience in a temple in Longhai City, Fujian Province greatly influenced his style. From 1998 to 2008, his solo and group exhibition credits have included the West Bank Contemporary Art Salon (Solo, 2008). In 1999 the German Embassy in Beijing collected his works in the Sino-German Artist Exhibition. In 1998 his solo exhibition at the Central Art Academy was launched. Since 1998, his publications in major Chinese art magazines and major media have included China News, China Economical News, Chinese Culture News, and Chinese Contemporary Art Magazine (titled The Village), Jiangsu Art, New Visual Art, Celebrated Artist Collection, etc. His works are popular among collectors in Germany, the United States, Canada, Belgium, Japan, New Zealand, and Singapore.
